Paul Rudd got his big-screen start in the cult-favorite rom-com Clueless — and the rest is comedy hiss-tory. His latest, Anaconda, is a meta reboot of the 1997 action-horror movie of the same name. Rudd and co-star Jack Black play a pair of childhood friends who set out to remake the original film, only to accidentally kill their snake star. Things quickly go awry when they search for a replacement reptile in the jungle.

Anaconda is far from Rudd’s first time tackling a comedy of errors — or even a reboot. The actor is known for his parts in movies like Wet Hot American Summer, Role Models, I Love You, Man, and the Anchorman franchise, as well as his collaborations with writer-director-producer Judd Apatow: The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and more. He’s also tackled lighthearted action flicks, like the Ghostbusters II follow-ups Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, in which he co-starred with Carrie Coon and Finn Wolfhard. Rudd also led Marvel’s Ant-Man and its sequels. You can see more of Rudd in the movies and series below on Netflix.

This Is 40

A loose sequel to Knocked Up, this dramatic rom-com written and directed by Judd Apatow (The 40-Year-Old Virgin) follows married couple Pete (Rudd) and Debbie (Leslie Mann), whose ongoing relationship issues become more prominent when they both turn 40. After a romantic weekend away goes awry and they confess to being unhappy, Debbie works to improve their marriage and family life. John Lithgow (3rd Rock from the Sun), Megan Fox (Jennifer’s Body), and Albert Brooks (Broadcast News) co-star.

Living with Yourself

Rudd earned a Golden Globe nomination for his performance in this dramatic sci-fi comedy miniseries as Miles Elliot, a copywriter who feels unfulfilled with his life, job, marriage — everything. When his co-worker (Desmin Borges) suggests a spa to help him feel better, Miles uses all his savings to book a mysterious treatment. Next thing Miles knows, he wakes up in a grave. Upon digging himself out and returning home, he finds a clone of himself living with his wife (Aisling Bea). After an initial clash, Miles’s clone teams up with others to figure out what happened. Jon Glaser (Parks and Recreation), Zach Cherry (Severance), and Tom Brady (The Roast of Tom Brady) guest star.

The Fundamentals of Caring

Based on author Jonathan Evison’s 2012 novel The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving, this dramatic comedy stars Rudd as Ben Benjamin, a struggling writer who becomes a registered caregiver. He’s hired by a woman named Elsa (Jennifer Ehle) to care for her 18-year-old son, Trevor (Craig Roberts), who was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy as a child. Ben and his new charge set out on a cross-country road trip to see the world’s deepest pit and confront Trevor’s estranged father. They pick up a hitchhiker (Selena Gomez), who joins them on their journey.

Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp

Rudd reprises his role as Andy, a Camp Firewood counselor who was first introduced in the cult comedy movie Wet Hot American Summer, in this eight-episode follow-up that serves as a prequel to the 2001 film. Rudd is joined by his former co-stars — including Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect), Amy Poehler (Parks and Recreation), Bradley Cooper (The A-Team), Molly Shannon (Superstar), Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: Organized Crime), H. Jon Benjamin (Bob’s Burgers), Joe Lo Truglio (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), and Ken Marino (The Other Two) — in this series about the counselors and other employees facing a number of challenges on their first day at camp.

Mute

Director Duncan Jones’s follow-up to his 2009 film Moon stars Rudd, Alexander Skarsgård (The Northman), Justin Theroux (Maniac), Robert Sheehan (The Umbrella Academy), Noel Clarke (Adulthood), Florence Kasumba (Criminal: Germany), and Dominic Monaghan (Moonhaven). It follows bartender Leo (Skarsgård), left mute after a childhood accident, as he tracks down his one true love (Seyneb Saleh) when she disappears. Rudd plays Cactus Bill, a seemingly jolly surgeon caught up in the mystery.
