The LEGO® ONE PIECE  Trailer Reimagines the Straw Hats in Brick Form

Assemble for the two-part animated special, docking Sept. 29.

You saw the Straw Hats forge an unbreakable bond in Season 1 of the live-action ONE PIECE. And you watched them sail through the infamous Grand Line — a legendary (and dangerous) stretch of sea — in Season 2. Now, the crew’s extraordinary adventures take new shape in the LEGO® ONE PIECE animated special, dropping anchor on Sept. 29.

The above trailer offers a glimpse at the imaginative retelling of the epic events of the first two seasons. Climb aboard as Usopp, the Straw Hats’ most reliably unreliable narrator, regales Tony Tony Chopper, the crew’s adorable new doctor, with stirring tales of their heroic exploits across the East Blue.

Each 30-minute episode is packed with humor, visual spectacle, and your favorite ONE PIECE characters in LEGO® brick form. “With such limited time, we wanted to pinpoint the Seasons 1 and 2 events that allowed us to spotlight the big character moments, so even though we only had an hour, viewers are still able to get a real feel for each character’s journey,” showrunner, writer, and executive producer Tom Hyndman tells Tudum.

If the voices in the above sneak peek sound familiar, that’s because the whole Straw Hat crew from the live-action ONE PIECE has assembled for the two-part special. That includes Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Emily Rudd as Nami, Mackenyu as Zoro, Jacob Romero as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, and Mikaela Hoover as Tony Tony Chopper.

Hyndman executive produces alongside ONE PIECE creator Eiichiro Oda; Jill Wilfert, Keith Malone, and Lars Danielsen for LEGO®; and Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements for Tomorrow Studios. Chelsea Ker directed both episodes.

The LEGO® ONE PIECE animated special is produced in partnership with the LEGO® Group, Japanese publisher Shueisha, and the Vancouver-based animation studio Atomic Cartoons (Marvel’s Spidey and His Amazing Friends).

While you wait to embark on this epic, brick-built adventure, beef up your ONE PIECE collection with a curated list of apparel, toys, food items, and more. Stream Seasons 1 and 2 of ONE PIECE now, and read up on Season 3 here
