The Legends are back.

Neil Forsyth’s crime drama is returning for Season 2, continuing to follow the undercover operatives who infiltrated Britain’s most dangerous drug gangs in the 1990s. “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to tell a new story in the fascinating and unique world that Legends offers,” writer and creator Forsyth (The Gold, Guilt) tells Netflix, “and to show just how dangerous, thrilling, and important their work became in the late 1990s.”

Starring Tom Burke, Steve Coogan, and Hayley Squires, Legends explores the identities (or “legends”) built by a team of ordinary Customs employees as they dove deep into the criminal underworld. At the end of Season 1, they had cracked an international case and returned to their ordinary lives — but not for long. Season 2 sees the unlikely team drawn back into the world of undercover maneuvering, with the outside world none the wiser.

Legends’ renewal comes alongside a slate of other renewals for Netflix’s most loved UK titles, from House of Guinness to Being Gordon Ramsay to The Gentlemen. “Our audiences loved these shows so it is such a delight to bring them back,” Netflix Vice President of UK Content Anne Mensah says. “To revisit the Guinness family, cook with the Ramsays, go undercover with the Legends, and be At Home with the Furys.
