The Roast of Kevin Hart

After hosting the roasts of other celebs, Hart himself is in the hot seat and ready for all the smoke. As per the traditional roast format, Hart’s fellow comedians take the stage to deliver their best barbs for the chosen honoree. With Shane Gillis serving as roastmaster, the raw and ruthless night of laughs streams live from the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, as part of Netflix is a Joke Fest.

Fatherhood

In this honest and deeply moving drama, Hart plays Matt, a man whose wife tragically dies a day after giving birth to their daughter. He copes with doubts, fears, heartache, and dirty diapers as he sets out to raise his child on his own. The film is based on Matt Logelin’s 2011 memoir Two Kisses for Maddy: A Memoir of Loss and Love and also features Alfre Woodard, Lil Rel Howery, DeWanda Wise, and Paul Reiser in the cast.

Funny AF with Kevin Hart

Hart is on a mission to discover the next great stand-up comic. The comedy competition series sees contestants from across the country facing challenges designed to mirror the real-life grind of comedy — brutal open-mic sets, desultory performances, last-minute rewrites, and the pressure of performing on big stages. Hart brings along a lineup of comedy heavyweights to size up the rising stars, including Keegan-Michael Key, Tom Segura, Kumail Nanjiani, Chelsea Handler, and Nikki Glaser. The prize for the winning comedian: their own Netflix stand-up special.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

When a group of teens is forced to clean out the high school’s basement, they discover an old video gaming system and start playing. But the second they choose their avatars — played by Hart, Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan — the whole group gets sucked into the game’s dangerous jungle. In order to return to real life, they must battle scheming archaeologists, bewitched jewels — and each other. The reimagining of the ’90s blockbuster also features Nick Jonas and Bobby Cannavale.

Kevin Hart: Acting My Age

See the comedian in his element: delivering a stand-up set to a sold-out venue. At the Adrienne Arsht Center's Knight Concert Hall in Miami, Hart takes the stage for his fifth Netflix special and reflects on the trials and triumphs of his 40s, managing family dynamics, and embracing the wisdom of aging — with his signature high-energy humor, of course. Make it a marathon with his previous specials What Now?Irresponsibleand Zero F—s Given.

Kevin Hart & Chris Rock: Headliners Only

Two comedy legends, with tour stops around New York City around the same time. In this documentary, the stand-up superstars step away from their respective stages for candid chats about the tricks of their trade, their advice for younger comedians, and their own enduring friendship. The film also includes mini-documentaries on Hart and Rock, outlining their career highs and lows with commentary from their younger siblings and famous colleagues. Kevin Hart's Guide to Black History

Looking for some entertaining and educational comedy? Hart brings his signature humor to this family-friendly offering. Through a clever sitcom framework, the hour-long variety special sees its star deliver a fun and educational lesson about Black history, honoring well-known figures alongside unsung heroes — like Henry Brown, a formerly enslaved man who conceived of a unique strategy to reclaim his freedom, and Matthew Henson, an African American explorer who became one of the first people to reach the North Pole. Tiffany Haddish, Lil Rel Howery, and “Weird Al” Yankovic are on hand to help out.

Lift

Anyone interested in stealing $500 million in gold? Hart stars in this action flick as Cyrus Whitaker, the leader of a band of expert criminals recruited to prevent a terrorist attack by doing what they do best — robbing the rich. The only twist: the heist must take place on a passenger plane at 40,000 feet. Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Vincent D’Onofrio, Billy Magnussen, and Úrsula Corberó are also in the film from director F. Gary Gray.

The Man from Toronto

This action-comedy mixes classic mistaken identity shenanigans with the thrill-a-minute pacing of a big-screen spy drama. Hart plays Teddy, a clueless vacationer who’s mistaken for a notorious assassin. When the FBI enlists Teddy to bring the killer to justice by continuing to impersonate him, he comes face to face with the real “Man from Toronto” (Woody Harrelson), a ruthless killer with his own plans. Kaley Cuoco and Ellen Barkin are also in the movie, which features an epic barbell brawl.

Me Time

Friends for life, right? This buddy comedy pairs Hart and Mark Wahlberg as best friends who have grown apart. The duo reunite when stay-at-home dad Sonny (Hart) finally has some time to himself and decides to partake in the wild annual birthday celebration for Huck (Wahlberg). When they aren’t full-on raging, Sonny and Huck discover that they have much to learn about each other — and themselves. Also getting in on Me Time are Luis Gerardo Méndez, Jimmy O. Yang, and Regina Hall.

Kevin Hart: The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor

Hart received the 25th Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, which is largely considered the highest honor in the comedy world. At the 2024 ceremony, held at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, Hart received tributes — and light roasts — from his colleagues, including Tiffany Haddish, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Regina Hall, Keith Robinson, Chelsea Handler, JB Smoove, Nick Cannon, Jimmy Fallon, and Dave Chappelle. Nelly and Robin Thicke also performed before Hart delivered his acceptance speech.

True Story

It’s not often that a bit of partying threatens to destroy your life. Hart stars in this intense thriller as Kid, a world-famous comedian who launches a stand-up tour in his hometown of Philadelphia. He reunites with his older brother Carlton (Wesley Snipes) and they take on the night together — only to wake up next to a dead body. The seven-episode limited series also features Chris Diamantopoulos and Billy Zane, and includes cameos by Chris Hemsworth and Ellen DeGeneres.
