Jennifer Lopez doesn’t have much time to share traditional motherly advice in her new action thriller The Mother – but she’s happy to pass along a few tips on skinning animals and tossing punches. Lopez plays a retired assassin who finds herself drawn back into the field to protect her long-lost daughter Zoe (Lucy Paez) from some very brutal old enemies. Along the way, the pair may just forge the family connection they never got the chance to make. Directed by Niki Caro, The Mother is a thrilling and intense ride that will remind you to — yes — call your mom.
In real life though, Lopez has some words of wisdom from her own mother to pass on. She and Paez spent two minutes with Tudum answering our questions about their new action film, dishing secrets including their favorite scene from the movie, memories from the audition process and the best advice their mothers have ever given them.
