Led by quarterback Brock Purdy’s three touchdowns and a stout defense, the San Francisco 49ers beat the Los Angeles Rams 27-7, live on Netflix. Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel and Demarcus Robinson each caught touchdowns, while the 49ers defense forced an interception and fumble on reigning NFL MVP Matthew Stafford and the vaunted Rams offense.
Running back Kyren Williams scored the lone touchdown for the Rams.
The 49ers trio of Purdy, linebacker Fred Warner and defensive end Nick Bosa earned Player of the Game honors, celebrating with a spread of meat pies and custom kangaroo coats.

Peter Berg directs NFL Melbourne Game opening
Ahead of the NFL Melbourne Game, Netflix debuted a special pregame opening directed by Peter Berg, celebrating football through the eyes of players from childhood to the pros. It's the first of four segments Berg will direct for Netflix NFL games this season.
Berg wrote, produced, and directed The Mosquito Bowl, opening exclusively in theaters October 30 ahead of its Netflix release on November 25. The film follows four of America’s top college football stars who set their fame aside to enlist in the Marines following the attack on Pearl Harbor. 49ers star running back Christian McCaffrey helped train the cast on football fundamentals.

What other NFL games are streaming on Netflix in 2026?
Next up on Netflix’s expanded plate is the NFL’s first-ever Thanksgiving Eve game on Nov. 25, featuring the Green Bay Packers visiting the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium.
Continuing the Christmas Day tradition, Netflix will again air two games on Dec. 25: The Green Bay Packers visit the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field, followed by the Buffalo Bills against the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High.
Also new for this NFL season is a Week 18 game on Netflix. The Week 18 game is the final weekend of the regular season, with playoffs on the line.
In addition to the on-field action, Netflix will globally stream the NFL Honors, which showcases the league’s annual awards presentation during the week of the Super Bowl.
