From Unchosen to This Is a Gardening Show: What to Watch on Netflix

Plus Roommates, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, Funny AF with Kevin Hart, Running Point, and more.

Zach Galifianakis is admittedly no horticulture expert. Therefore, he hosts the whimsical series This Is a Gardening Show with a refreshing sense of curiosity, connecting with people and the earth while learning about plants. “People have the potential in them to find beauty and happiness in all this,” Galifianakis says. “I certainly have.”

Approaching the new movies and shows on Netflix this week with a similar spirit will yield the best results. Check out Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, the animated series of new adventures with old Hawkins friends; Roommates, the unhinged comedy about a friendship that spirals into a war of passive aggression; and Unchosen, the six-part thriller that goes behind the closed doors of a fictional conservative religious sect.

Don’t forget the stand-up competition Funny AF with Kevin Hart, the horror flick Him, and the sophomore season of Running Point. Whether you’re looking for action, laughs, or scares, this is a promising lineup.

Scroll on for all the titles coming to Netflix the week of April 17–23.
