Season 4 of Virgin River has arrived and with it comes an answer to the question fans have been asking: Who shot Jack (Martin Henderson) in the Season 2 finale? Was it really Brady (Benjamin Hollingsworth), who was arrested for the crime in Season 3? Or was it someone else entirely? Spoilers ahead!
As Season 4 reveals, the true shooter is Vince (Steve Bacic), former brother-in-law of Paige (Lexa Doig), whom we hadn’t seen in at least a season. Bet you didn’t see that one coming. Anyway, now that we’ve cleared that up: Free Brady! He’s innocent!

In the Season 4 finale, we finally witness the events that led to Jack’s shooting. Vince, in search of his missing twin brother, Wes (who, you might recall, was pushed down the stairs by Paige in Season 2), finds his way to Jack’s Bar. Of course, the two men wind up fighting: Jack slices Vince with a knife, and Vince shoots him. Luckily, Jack survives in one piece — minus a few crucial memories that would have helped clear all this up — but Vince is still on the warpath.

Vince continues looking for his brother’s body, kidnapping Paige’s son, Christopher (Chase Petriw), and generally terrorizing her. When Vince confronts Paige with a gun in the finale, Preacher (Colin Lawrence) saves the day. All in a day’s work for the ex-Marine/current chef.
You can watch Virgin River Season 4 on Netflix right now. Now that we’ve solved this mystery, the only one left is “How does Jack maintain those flowing silver locks?” Hopefully answers will be coming.
