Hold onto your luggage: this week, Netflix viewers got ready for holiday travel with Jaume Collet-Serra’s latest thrill ride Carry-On, starring Taron Egerton, Jason Bateman, and Sofia Carson. The airport-set Christmas thriller topped the English films list with 42 million views — the biggest opening for a Netflix film this year, launching into the top 10 in 93 countries.

Meanwhile, newly minted Golden Globe nominee Black Doves held onto No. 1 in its second week on the English TV list, nabbing 14.6 million views and staying in the top 10 in 92 countries. Jamie Foxx’s stand-up special What Had Happened Was… hit No. 2 (8.2 million views), and Dead to Me creator Liz Feldman’s new murder mystery No Good Deed landed at No. 3 (6 million views). And cozy comedy A Man on the Inside starring Ted Danson — which was just renewed for a second season — stuck around at No. 8 (1.9 million views). On the non-English TV list, the limited series La Palma hit No. 1 (13.1 million views) and Part 1 of the long-awaited adaptation of One Hundred Years of Solitude debuted at No. 3 (3.6 million views).

Drama had a great week across series and films, including the Colman Domingo-starring The Madness (No. 4 in English TV, 5.4 million views) and It Ends With Us (No. 5 in English film, 10.9 million views). On the non-English TV list, titles like Korea’s When the Phone Rings (No. 2, 4.4 million views) and The Trunk (No. 8, 1.8 million views), Brazil’s Senna (No. 4, 3 million views), and Spain’s 1992 (No. 6, 2.1 million views), reigned supreme.

The holiday spirit also stayed in the air, with English film titles like That Christmas (No. 2, 17.1 million views), Mary (No. 3, 13.2 million views), The Grinch (No. 4, 13.2 million views), and Our Little Secret (No. 6, 10.4 million views) sticking around for another week. Fans continued to press play on true crime on the English-language TV list, with Cold Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey (No. 9, 1.8 million views) and The Kings of Tupelo: A Southern Crime Saga (No. 10, 1.8 million views) rounding out the top 10.
