Squid Game Season 3 Is Here: Stream the Final Round

Every game. Every loss. Every betrayal — has led to this.

    Nov. 26, 2025

The last time Squid Game fans saw Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), he was at his lowest — physically and emotionally. The Korean drama’s protagonist ends the Season 2 finale lying on the ground, grieving the sudden death of his closest friend, Jung-bae (Lee Seo-hwan), and the failure of his attempted rebellion. Now it’s time for Gi-hun to stand up again. Squid Game Season 3 is here, revealing the final chapters of Player 456’s story.

“We’ll see how Gi-hun returns to the game arena and faces the challenges and games ahead,” creator and director Hwang Dong-hyuk tells Tudum. “The story focuses on Seong Gi-hun’s transformation and how he overcomes what comes his way.”

The newly released images below hint at what’s in store for Gi-hun, his enigmatic antagonist the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun), and more characters caught in the terrifying competition. In one of the photos, you see a devastated Gi-hun handcuffed to a bed in the player dormitory. Lee Jung-jae empathized deeply with his character while filming Squid Game’s final six episodes.

“I thought about the guilt Gi-hun must have felt with so many people dying, especially his close friend Jung-bae — I thought he couldn’t be of sound mind,” the actor tells Tudum. However, he hints that a certain conversation in Season 3 completely changes Gi-hun’s outlook. “This scene could be very touching … and it says a lot about how we too can’t live on our own, and no matter what unfortunate things come our way, all you can do is just go on living.”

You’ll need to tune into Squid Game Season 3 — now streaming — to see the emotional moment yourself. Keep reading to prepare for all the action ahead, as Squid Game jumps into its final round. From the plot and photos to so much more, we’ve got you covered like a tracksuit.

What is Squid Game Season 3 about?

A failed rebellion, the death of a friend, and a secret betrayal — Squid Game Season 3 picks up in the aftermath of Season 2’s bloody cliff-hanger. Although Gi-hun is at his lowest point yet, the Squid Game stops for no one. So Gi-hun will be forced to make some important choices in the face of overwhelming despair as he and the surviving players are thrust into deadlier games that test everyone’s resolve. With each round, their choices lead to increasingly grave consequences.

Meanwhile, In-ho resumes his role as Front Man to welcome the mysterious VIPs, and his brother Jun-ho (Wi Ha-jun) continues his search for the elusive island, unaware there’s a traitor in their midst. Will Gi-hun make the right decisions, or will the Front Man finally break his spirit?

How did they create the Squid Game Season 3 sets?

Hwang worked closely with production designer Chae Kyoung-su to pull off Squid Game’s dazzling sets. “The spatial descriptions in director Hwang’s script for Season 3 reminded me of a blank piece of paper. That was his way of giving me more wiggle room,” Chae tells Tudum. “There was a lot of room within the story for me to use my imagination.”

Watch the video above (which does include spoilers) to see how Season 3’s sets came together — and the small details hidden within scenes that add even more meaning.

What happens before Squid Game Season 3?

In the Season 2 finale,  Gi-hun attempts to rally his fellow competitors against the architects of the game. His plan seems to go well, as the rebels almost make it to the control center of the arena. But, the Front Man — who spends much of Season 2 hiding in plain sight as Player 001 — double crosses Gi-hun and crushes the uprising. In a devastating final twist of the knife, the Front Man kills Gi-hun’s best friend Jung-bae .

Lee Jung-jae isn’t so sure his character is aware of Player 001’s betrayal. “I don’t think he knows yet. I think he’s blaming himself for everything that happened,” the actor says. Season 3 will follow the final chapter in Gi-hun and the Front Man’s showdown.
