Pull up to the five-second light. Four… three… two… one… let’s race! Netflix’s Formula 1: Drive to Survive, the landmark documentary series following the 20 drivers, managers and team owners of each season of Formula 1 racing, is back for its fourth season. Teams grow strong and apart. New blood conquers. Long-held rivalries endure. (Looking at you, Mercedes and Red Bull.) The championship winner couldn’t be more divisive. Surprising podiums and unexpected violations abound. Records are broken and underscored. There’s a lot happening — for the die-hard fans and casually curious alike.
Premiering on March 11, 2022, just one week before the 2022 F1 season kicks off in Bahrain, Drive to Survive’s fourth season may very well be the most dramatic yet. Shot over the momentous 2021 Formula 1 World Championship, Drive to Survive Season 4, produced by Academy Award winner James Gay-Rees (Amy, Senna) and Paul Martin (Diego Maradona) for Box to Box Films, is unlike any other.
