Based on the hit video game from Capcom, the series Devil May Cry is making its way back yet again. When the first season of the animated show was released, showrunner Adi Shankar (Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix) says he and his development partner, Alex Larsen, were working on it every day since it was first announced in 2018.
“Our goal wasn’t just to pump out another animated show. My goal is to make one of the best shows on the Netflix platform — period.” Shankar partnered with Studio Mir (The Legend of Korra, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf) on the adaptation. Sinister forces are at play at the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon hunter for hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.

A war between worlds ignites as Dante must battle the only force that mirrors his own: his estranged twin brother, Vergil. In Season 2, Dante must confront his own devils and his feelings about the family he lost as a child. When Vergil reemerges, will Dante lay to rest old demons or fall victim to them?
