Bridgerton Season 4 Release Date: Unmask Benedict and Sophie’s Meet Cute

You’re cordially invited to the Bridgerton family masquerade ball in 2026 — find out when!

    Jan. 14, 2026

Waiting on pins and needles to attend the highly anticipated masquerade ball alongside Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha) in Bridgerton Season 4? Well, dearest gentle reader, now we can officially send you a save the date!

Bridgerton Season 4 will debut in two parts. Part 1 will premiere on Jan. 29, 2026, and Part 2 will premiere on Feb. 26. This season will have a total of eight episodes.

Season 4 sees artistic second son Benedict take the lead following the successful love matches of his siblings Anthony, Colin, Daphne, and Francesca. This installment of the beloved series is based on author Julia Quinn’s third Bridgerton novel, An Offer from a Gentleman.

Despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married, Benedict is loath to settle down when we meet him again in Season 4. That is, until an enthralling woman captures his attention at Violet Bridgerton’s (Ruth Gemmell) masquerade ball.

“The storyline is a bit of a twist on Cinderella. You remember being told those stories as a child — the magic and the romance of them,” says Thompson. “It’s really exciting to have that weaved into the world that we know of Bridgerton … It’s such a great story, but it’s also, I hope, really relatable.”

While Benedict knows his love interest only as the Lady in Silver, she’s actually Sophie, a resourceful maid with her own secrets and dreams. “What drew me to Sophie was that she immediately has obstacles — something that she constantly has to overcome,” says Ha. “Whether it’s this battle around social status or trying to hide her feelings from Benedict.”

Benedict and Sophie won’t be the only characters swooning on the ballroom dance floor in the upcoming season. The Bridgerton Season 4 cast features familiar family members and some new faces, including Jonathan Bailey (Anthony Bridgerton), Victor Alli (Lord John Stirling), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), Julie Andrews (Lady Whistledown), Lorraine Ashbourne (Mrs. Varley), Simone Ashley (Kate Bridgerton), Masali Baduza (Michaela Stirling), Nicola Coughlan (Penelope Bridgerton), Hannah Dodd (Francesca Stirling), Daniel Francis (Lord Marcus Anderson), Ruth Gemmell (Violet Bridgerton), Oli Higginson (Footman John), Florence Hunt (Hyacinth Bridgerton), Martins Imhangbe (Will Mondrich), Claudia Jessie (Eloise Bridgerton), Luke Newton (Colin Bridgerton), Katie Leung (Lady Araminta Gun), Michelle Mao (Rosamund Li), Emma Naomi (Alice Mondrich), Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), Hugh Sachs (Brimsley), Will Tilston (Gregory Bridgerton), Polly Walker (Portia Featherington), and Isabella Wei (Posy Li).

Jess Brownell is showrunner for Bridgerton Season 4, with Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Tom Verica, and Chris Van Dusen as executive producers.
